My Story
After selling my S197 45th Anniversary Edition about 4 yrs ago, I regretted the decision immensely. Even though I was heavily into Rock Crawling my Jeep, I was still missing the thrill of owning a Mustang. 2 1/2 months ago my wife sent a Tik Tok video of the Dark Horse. I immediately told her she messed up, I was going to start looking for one , with one stipulation......it had to be supercharged. And so the internet hunt began. Within a couple of days of diligent searching....I found it. Immediately called the dealership to find out the vehicle details and the bargaining process began. We agreed on a price with My Jeep going in as a trade. I put $500 down over the phone to hold the car till the weekend, when I could go pick it up. That weekend my buddy and I took the Jeep on its final road trip an hour and 45 minutes away. Arrived at the dealer and they had the car on the showroom floor, cleaned and ready to go. They pulled it out and we went on a test drive and instantly fell in love. The power behind the supercharger was exactly what I imagined, and the handling was amazing. We sat down, signed all the paperwork, I handed them a check and they handed me the keys. A last goodbye to the Jeep that had given me years of thrills, excitement and the meeting of new friends was hard. But.....the hour and 15 minute drive home was one I will never forget. 2 days later it was in the detail shop getting a full paint correction done, full front Liquid PPF and fully ceramic coated. We named the car NITEMARE (a play on words= NITE=Dark MARE=Horse). Its currently in stock form as a Non HP model with the FPP 3.0L Whipple. The first mod is coming in the form of a PP rear spoiler from Ford.
