We just made the Owners Garage a lot more useful, and we want your car in it.
Add your Dark Horse and you get a clean, shareable build page — your specs, your color, your mod list with what each mod actually cost, and photos. It shows up in the public Owners Garage gallery ( https://darkhorseowners.com/owner-garage/) where other owners and shoppers can see real builds instead of vendor stock photos.
Why bother logging the costs? Because we're pooling them into a running "what Dark Horse owners actually spend on mods" breakdown — real money, by category, from real cars. The more of us who fill it in, the more useful it gets for everyone planning their next mod.
A few we'd love to see: exhaust, tunes, superchargers, suspension, wheels/tires, brakes, aero. Stock cars welcome too — a clean baseline is just as valuable.
Add yours here: https://darkhorseowners.com/owners-garage/ (takes about 5 minutes). We'll be featuring a Garage of the Week from the submissions, so make yours look good.
Very cool upgrade to the garage!
The only downside I see to it is that I now have some idea of just how much money I've thrown at this thing in terms of parts. lol
Now we just need a navigational tab at the top of the page for the 'Garage' that will list and directly link to each members garage, provided they have set theirs up. Just like the Members page, but for the garages! 😀
Love seeing how the site is coming along as new things are being added. Keep up the good work!! 👍
I've never seen an angel; but I know the Devil, and he told me I'm fine.
Ha — that is exactly the side effect. The mod list is a lot of fun to build right up until the total appears underneath it.
On the nav tab: done. It's live at the top of every page as "Builds" now, and it goes straight to the full Owners Garage gallery with every public build listed and linked, Members-page style. You called it — the gallery existed but was effectively unfindable unless somebody handed you the URL.
Appreciate the suggestion. A fair amount of what's on this site started as a comment exactly like that one, so keep them coming.
What's next on your list, by the way? You mentioned the Barton in the other thread — curious whether anything else is queued up, or whether seeing that garage total has you taking a breather.
Awesome! I see the builds button there and it is exactly what I was thinking! Very nice addition!
Honestly, I'm not sure what else to do with my car right now. Just drive it I guess!
Aftermarket wheels have been a thought, but I really don't have any issues with the factory wheels aside from the fact that they're a bit heavy. If I did go with wheels, then I'd probably feel like I needed to upgrade the brake rotors with a high(er) performance slotted variant. Something that again, I really don't have any issues with and are already really quite good for being OEM. Sometimes I think I'm buying things more for just the sake of spending money than it being something I really feel like I need! 🤣
